New R-410A Sky Air Non Inverter Concealed Ceiling Duct Combination introduced by Daikin.
Daikin Europe NV has replaced its R-407C operated Sky Air RYEP – FDYMP non inverter concealed ceiling indoor/outdoor unit combination with a new R-410A REQ-FDEQ system, designed like its predecessor primarily for use in Southern European markets.
The new REQ outdoor unit is available in heat pump version only – in 71, 100 and 125 sizes – with capacities between 7.1kW and 12.5kW (cooling) and 8.0kW and 14.0kW (heating).
Sound operating pressure levels vary from 53dBA to 59dBA across the range and operating temperature range is between 10 and 46°CDB (in cooling) and between –10 and 15°CWB (in heating)
Heart of the unit is the latest generation of Daikin scroll compressors and further important features include anti corrosion treatment of the heat exchange fins ensuring an operating life cycle some 5 times greater than those of untreated aluminium contemporaries. Intelligent defrost control via microprocessor obviates the loss of capacity associated with the constant interval/fixed defrost cycles of many competitive systems. Useful installation features include the location of service valves within the casing, the need for just 3 connecting wires and a 50m pipe run between outdoor and indoor units.
The new matched indoor unit – FDEQ, also available in 71, 100 and 125 sizes – can be used in pair combinations.
FDEQ units are light in weight and compact, measuring just 279mm in depth for all sizes. Both discharge and suction ducts are connectable via flanges and the air filter can be accessed easily, even after installation of the ducts. Maximum external static pressure (ESP) is 100Pa.
